Part of the reason for this explosion is the wealth of amazing volleyball programs here in our area that have high standards for the type of players they want representing them on and off the court. Programs like The Jefferson Dragons and The Jackson County Panthers have set the bar extremely high.
Having had a daughter who played volleyball in the Jefferson Recreation Department, I know how beneficial a program of that type can be for girls who want to learn the game in a fun and welcoming environment. It is there that my daughter cut her teeth on the sport and built a foundation for all of her future volleyball achievements and success.
