WHAT IS THE INSTRUCTIONAL VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE?
The Instructional Volleyball League (IVL) is a developmental training program that focuses on improving player skills and game performance. We accomplish this through weekly skills training and fun competition. We believe that players develop fastest when the skills that they are acquiring are put into practice within a team format and in the context of real-time competition.
our recipe for player success
We meet for instruction and competition every Saturday for 6 consecutive weeks. Our players will receive personalized instruction, perform team drills, and compete in league-style play. We also provide 2 additional weeks between league seasons for players to attend targeted clinics to further improve their game. This is truly a recipe for success!

our Instructional league format
there will be instruction & competition every saturday for 6-weeks
- The League will Include a 6-Week League Season + 2 Weeks of Skills Clinics
- The League Season Will Offer:
- Round-Robin Competition Each Saturday for the First 5 Weeks
- Single Elimination League Tournament Play in Week 6
- Each League Season will Have a Winner!
- Two Weeks of Targeted Skills Clinics to Accelerate Skills In Preparation for the Start of the Next League Season
- New Teams Are Formed Each New League Season.

what we do each week
When you daughter is enrolled in the league, she will be assigned to a team. Teams will gather for two hours every Saturday for 5 weeks. The first hour will consist of team drills and instruction, and the second hour will include a competitive and fun game.
Each team will have a coach, and their coach will assign players to positions, provide instruction, lead team drills, and coach the team through offensive and defensive formations and strategy.
In week 6, teams will participate in a single-elimination tournament and a league winner will be crowned!
where our instructional league meets
All league games and clinics meet in the Family Life Center Gymnasium at Galilee Christian Church in Jefferson, GA. The Gym is located in the back of the property behind the church offices.
The physical address is 2191 Galilee Church Rd. Jefferson, GA. 30549.
Our gym is convenient to Bethlehem, Winder, Commerce, Pendergrass, Braselton, Hoschton, Nicholson, Watkinsville, Statham, Bogart, and Athens.
when do the teams play?
The league has two age categories: 10-12 years & 13-15 years. The 10-12 age group trains from 9 – 11 am every Saturday morning and the 13-15 age group trains from 12 – 2 pm.
Each player is encouraged to bring her own water bottle, her league t-shirt, and knee pads every Saturday.
As always, parents are welcome in our gym. We will have chairs set-up so parents can view every moment of the action.
How much does the instructional volleyball league cost?
We offer this program as a monthly membership, but plan for your daughter to participate for a total of 2 months…which includes the 6-week instruction & competition…plus two weeks of participation in skills clinics.
The monthly investment is $199/month, so the total investment for competition & clinics is $498 every 8-week cycle.
You will pay monthly, so you can keep your daughter enrolled in the league on an on-going basis. We anticipate conducting approximately 5 leagues throughout the year (a league approximately every 8-weeks).
when does the league start?
The instructional volleyball league begins on Saturday, February 1st and a new league will form every 8-weeks after the first league starts.
You can enroll your daughter in any league as long as there is space available…and once she is enrolled in a league, she can remain for as long as you want her to continue working on her game.
