charles & sheril burrage
owners & co-directors of trinity volleyball academy
Charles & Sheril have a passion for creating a welcoming environment where young girls can thrive and grow to become better versions of themselves. They believe that service is of utmost importance and player development is a team effort that involves everyone. Charles and Sheril are Christians and operate Trinity Volleyball Academy based on Christian principles. Their passion is for players and parents to feel like family and be confident that this is a place where they can receive the highest level of care and instruction to reach all of their goals.
As Director at Trinity Volleyball Academy, Charles has an earned Doctoral degree, and over 30 years experience in sports, having coached and taught volleyball at the college level. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and is USA Volleyball Level II trained. As Co-Director at Trinity Volleyball Academy, Sheril has a background in business and extensive administrative supervisory and project management experience.

phil pulkin
(Specialty: All Fundamental Skills, All Positions)
Phil has been a volleyball fanatic for over 40 years, first learning the game by playing on Friday nights at church. He watched every US National team game and with a coaches eye learned how the games is played by the best in the world. Having seen the game evolve, he instructs players of all ages and levels from the basics to fine tuning top talents.
Phil is Safesport, IMPACT and CPR/First Aid certified, having coached club volleyball for 10 months. Most recently, he has lead an Academy system and was the head coach of a 14u Girl’s travel team, as well as given personal instruction to over 20 players.
Phil lives in Buford with his wife of 28 years Cara and 2 dogs, Miss Dolly and Toby.

moira (mo) lackey
(Specialty: Hitters, Middle Blockers, Defensive Specialists, Short Service)
Mo Lackey is 24 years old and resides in Jefferson Ga. She’s a graduate from Hart County High School and is a current student at Brenau University, enrolled in their Nursing Program. Mo has been surrounded by volleyball for 10+ years. As a youth, she played volleyball from grades 7th-12th competitively until she suffered a sports injury.
Not willing to give up on the sport, Mo has chosen to devote her knowledge and experience to coaching the upcoming generations of future volleyball players. She has been an assistant coach for P31 Volleyball 14U (2017-2019), served as Cedar Shoals’ Assistant J.V. Coach (2021-2022) & Cedar Shoals Varsity Assistant Coach (2022-2023). Additionally, she’s certified in CPR/AED, & APS.
Mo is left-handed & understands how to play volleyball from a left-handed perspective. Her past positions in volleyball were Right Side Hitter, Middle Hitter, and Defensive Specialist: she also specializes in short serving.

nisa hang
(Specialty: Passing, Hitting, All Fundamental Skills)
Nisa grew up in California and moved to Georgia in eighth grade. She started volleyball in seventh grade and played high school volleyball on junior varsity and varsity. Having grown up loving sports, she enjoys playing basketball, flag-football, and soccer for fun. Nisa grew up around her older brother playing volleyball, which started her love for the game. She loves volleyball and still plays competitively in local tournaments and recently picked up a new hobby called pickleball and it’s super fun. She is also a Sunday school teacher and loves teaching her kids!
Nisa considers passing and hitting her specialties. She has played all of the positions, besides setting, but can teach every position on the court. When she played in school, her positions were libero and defensive specialist, and she was good at serve receive as well. She is confident in teaching every position and in helping players succeed at becoming better.

chris kaylor
(Specialty: Service & All Fundamental Skills)
Chris has lived in Hoschton for about 20 years now and works full time for AT&T. His daughter wanted to play volleyball so he became a coach when no other was available. This was before the Jackson County and the surrounding areas had explosive growth in the sport. Chris has 6 years and 13 seasons of head coaching experience at 12 – 17u Girls County Recreation Volleyball. He also has 2 years mentorship from College/High School Head Coach and is a member of the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS). Chris has 2 years of specialized work with special education students and enjoys playing at the Jackson County Adult Volleyball League.
Chris likes his players to know that all is well. He can teach all fundamental skills in the game of volleyball and tends to specialize in serving, as this is the most difficult for many girls as they want to develop the overhand or jump serve.

bella kue nixon
(Specialty: Defense, Passing, All Fundamental Skills)
Bella Kue comes from a family of volleyball addicts. She grew up knowing and playing the sport. She played all throughout school and played club for a year during high school. Unfortunately due to an injury she wasn’t able to play for college but that never stopped her from playing and teaching volleyball. Bella has been playing volleyball around the area for local fundraiser tournaments and coached a 14U team in 2022.
Bella is CPR/First Aid Certified and is skilled in teaching all the fundamentals in volleyball and played in every position except for Middle Hitter. She enjoys working on defense and passing and believes that a strong defense is a great way to win a game!

olivia burrage
(Specialty: middle blockers, serve, All Fundamental Skills)
Olivia is a graduate of Jefferson High School, where she excelled as a middle blocker and led her team to multiple regional championships and state quarterfinal appearances. Her impressive performance on the court earned her recognition as a Prep Volleyball High School All-American. Additionally, she earned two-time 4A Area 8 Player of the Year in addition to earning All-State recognition as a senior.
Olivia has experience as a club coach, having coached travel teams at the 15u, 16u, and 17u levels. She currently plays middle blocker for Kennesaw State University, a Division I program, where she earned her place on the ASUN Conference All-Freshman team in year one on the court and was voted to the Conference USA Preseason & Post-season All Conference Teams for the fall 2025 season.

kaytlin johnson
(Specialty: outside hitters, middle hitters, defensive specialists, All Fundamental Skills)
Kaytlin graduated from Jefferson High School in May 2025 and now attends Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN and plays on their volleyball team (Division II, South Atlantic Conference). She has been playing volleyball since she was 7 years old, and started playing club when she was 12 years old. Kaytlin was a 4-year varsity player at Jefferson High School, and earned multiple accolades, including Region Player of the Year, and was a State Champion. In addition to that, she competed at a high club level, and finished her career at A5, winning a National Championship as a member of their 18-2s. Volleyball is pretty much her entire life, but she also enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with friends and family.

trinity moon
(Specialty: defensive specialists, setters, serving, All Fundamental Skills)
Trinity lives in Habersham County, Georgia and has been involved in sports for most of her life. She has a strong passion for coaching and helping athletes grow. She played volleyball from 8th grade through her senior year. Through sports, she learned the importance of teamwork, communication, leadership, and having a positive attitude. Outside of sports, Trinity enjoys playing pickleball, spending time with friends and family, and being active in her church, The Torch. There she serves as a leader for middle and high school students and is also involved in Torch Young Adults, which is one of her favorite parts of the week. Her faith is very important to her and she strives to honor the Lord in everything she does. She loves encouraging others, building relationships, and helping athletes gain confidence both on and off the court.
Her primary specialties are Defensive Specialist, Setter, Serving and fundamentals. She played setter in middle school before transitioning to defensive specialist in high school. She is very energetic, positive and vocal on the court and strongly believes that communication wins games. Her goal is to help athletes improve their skills while also building confidence, leadership, and a love for the game.

jacquie copeland
(Specialty: defensive specialists, Liberos, setters, All Fundamental Skills)
Jacquie is from Huntsville, Alabama. She is the youngest of 3 siblings, with one being her twin brother. She played volleyball in high school and continued to play for two more years at Coastal Alabama Community College. There she gained some more college experience and played outdoor beach. Jacquie started a nutrition class and starting running clinics and day camps with her coach at middle schools and some elementary schools. She fell in love with coaching and eventually was asked to coach her club team. Jacquie moved to Memphis, TN and started up a high school volleyball program at a new school (University High School). Her hobbies include spending time outside, garden, hiking, nature, and being around animals. She has dogs, chinchillas, and geckos and enjoys reading and spending time with friends, being active, and a constant student every day learning something new whether that is volleyball, nutrition, or about her animals.
Her primary specialties are working with Defensive Specialists, Liberos, Setters, and all fundamental skills. She is confident she can provide each client with a well-rounded training experience and help in any area of need. She is also willing to rise to each challenge and provide the best information and tweaks to help each individual that grows the relationship by being willing to reevaluate goals, directions, and seek constructive feedback.
